1. Technical Sales Engineer
Job description
RIM POLYMERS PTE LTD is seeking a Technical sales engineer for VIET NAM branch :
The ideal candidate must combine technical knowledge with sales skills and experience to execute sales & marketing activities for the company’s range of Polyurethane (PU) metering machines and systems for B2B markets. Customers are diversly from many industries such as: Automotive, Furniture, Insulation panel, Piping, Regrigerator & Freezer, Refrigeration equipment for cold chain, Water heater, etc;
The incumbent will be a key point of contact for customers. He will work regularly with senior company managers and report to the Sales Manager in Singapore. He will also provide pre and after-sales technical support to customers.
Job activities
- Searching for new leads maximizing client potential in designated regions;
- Developing long-term relationships with customers through managing and interpreting their requirements;
- Working in the customer satisfaction in term of technical needs, quality and delivery;
- Negotiating tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both customer and company needs;
- Providing pre-sales technical assistance and supporting the after-sales service;
- Preparing reports for management;
- Coordinating sales projects;
- Supporting marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing activities that may help to reach out to customers;
- Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product meets the customer needs;
- Visiting customers to understand their requirement, generateing and presenting quotations;
- Developing and executing sales strategies / product penetration plans to meet sales / business objectives in terms of revenue, margin and market share;
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction for developing long term relationships with key customers & decision makers;
- To be always ready to attend to technical matters raised by our clients and to proactively provide assistance and practical solutions;
- Work closely with HQ sales & technical team to identify the emerging trends and the relevant technologies to meet the requirements of these trends.
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering.
- 3+ years’ experience in Sales Engineering for a technology company or embedded market company is preferred;
- Self-motivated and focused with a passion for technology and an aptitude for customer satisfaction;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Strong negotiation skills;
- Possesses strong analytical and troubleshooting skills;
- Able to work independently and as part of a team;
- Must be willing to travel throughout Viet Nam. Some international travel may be required;
- Young & dynamic person;
- Business savvy, strong conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills and strategic in thinking;
- High believe in selling on value (not price);
- Excellent communication skills;
- Able to communicate effectively in English;
- Works well in a diverse environment (multiple countries and matrix reporting);
- A good level of computer literacy.
Technical knowledge
- Must be able to read and interpret technical documentation (product specifications, PU datasheets, etc);
- Working knowledge of Digital technology and circuits is preferred;
- Must be able to relay technical information to non-technical audiences in a clear and comprehensive fashion;
- Experience in PU / plastic processing equipment will be an added advantage;
- Technology-based professional certification is a plus.
